Building on the successful phase 1 of the IPT roll-out project completed last December, IDS managed the implementation of IPT services to 6  further sites including two sites connected via contended, non QoS, ADSL services. An additional Voice Gateway has been added to the network as part of a disaster recovery strategy enabling sites to connect IP telephones to either server. The two gateway sites have been linked using IP trunking, enabling IP telephones from either gateway to be included in 'key & lamp' groups, pick-up groups and have access to a wealth of other networking features.
