Bespoke Development
With skills across a range of hardware and software platforms, IDS have undertaken a range of bespoke developments to improve the output of information from billing systems.

Such developments range from simple peg counter programs to the complete redesign of a system onto a new hardware platform and operating system. With years of both operational and development experience IDS are able to evaluate, design and implement customised software solutions.

In addition to the development skills, IDS are also expert systems integrators. We have designed and built a range of systems including automating directory update information into billing applications and integrating billing outputs with third party accounting systems.

Managed Service
IDS provide a complete managed billing service for clients wishing to outsource their call logging and telecoms billing functions. The tasks range from simple CDR collection from the clients telephone system for call logging analysis, to the complete integration of cost centre re-charging into internal accounting systems. Also included are other integrated activities such as directory updating and on-line reporting.

IDS are particularly experienced at working with other outsource companies in the provision of complex billing services, including carrier organisations.

Problem Resolution
Access to all of the data provided by a switch allows detailed forensic investigations to take place. Such investigations can assist with both the day to day operational running of the system(s) and with the ad-hoc requirements for tracking and tracing various forms of abuse.

Other areas where such information may be useful could be to determine when and how network problems occurred and other related issues such as problems with routing calls.

Ad-Hoc Analysis
Occasionally, certain triggers demand an assessment of the traffic, call types and patterns distributed by a system. Such information may be required as part of a network audit, a review of call costs or an assessment of current capacity and utilisation.

IDS are well placed to quickly respond to such requests and can supply a range of tools and techniques to provide a comprehensive reporting function.
